Hello and welcome to Sigma Kappa at the George Washington University in Washington DC!
DC is a busy place, and one of the best ways that women at GW find a smaller and loving community is by going Greek. Zeta gives us our home, and guides us for the rest of our lives as we navigate being collegians and alumnae. We are so proud to be apart of the greater network that is Sigma Kappa, as we live by our values of personal growth, friendship, loyalty, and service.
Consistent with our Founders’ thoughts in 1874, our primary purpose is to create an environment for our members in which lasting friendships and our values of sisterhood emanate all aspects of our organization. We encourage an atmosphere which will foster high ideals of friendship among college women, promote their educational and cultural interests, create in them a true sense of social responsibility and develop in them high qualities of character.
Sigma Kappa is more than just a collegiate experience; it is a lifetime of commitment, support and opportunity awaiting you. It marks the beginning of a relationship that will last for a lifetime because membership in Sigma Kappa is not just for four years, it's for life.
As members of Zeta, we are fortunate to be apart of one of the most active sororities on campus. We host internship and resume workshops, our signature themed crush parties, and never shy away from an opportunity to share a meal with each other. In the presence of our sisters, life is simply better.
I am honored to serve as the President of the Zeta Chapter, and am so fortunate to among my best friends and fiercest supporters every single day. I invite you to explore our website and learn more about what sisterhood is all about. Raise High!
Love in Sigma Kappa,
Zeta Chapter President
Though many of us associate the benefits of sorority membership with the college years, Sigma Kappa is a lifelong influence on its members. Besides offering support, encouragement, and an atmosphere that promotes success and well-being, Sigma Kappa creates opportunities for women to become part of a worldwide sisterhood of successful, caring women.
